.....difficult

God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help an ever-present help ?in times of trouble, at all time!!!. Therefore we will not fear, when earthquakes come and the mountains crumble into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains tremble as the waters surge!

There is a river whose streams bring joy to the city of our God, the holy place where the Most High dwells.  God dwells within her, she can not be destroyed. God will protect her at break of day. Nations are in chaos, kingdoms fall; God's voice thunders and the earth melts. The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Israel is our fortress.

Come and see what the Lord has done, the desolations he has brought on the earth. He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth. He breaks the bow and shatters the spear; he burns the shields with fire.  He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.  The Lord Almighty - The Lord of Heaven's Armies is with us; the God of Israel is our fortress." Psalm 46

Difficult times are inevitable. Loved ones die. Friends face illness. Our spouse loses his/her job. The range of human pain is wide, but God comforts us in all our tribulations.

Psalm 46 speaks of great calamities, some from natural causes and others caused by men. Such trials often puzzle us, but verse 10 tells us where to turn. Followers of the Heavenly Father should be calm and remember that He is the sovereign Lord of the universe. The key to dealing with difficulties lies in trusting in the One who controls all things.

Instead of trying to handle the situation our own way, we should wait for God to act and trust that He will work on our behalf Isaiah 64:4. This involves taking time to be alone with the Heavenly Father, praying and meditating on His Word and listening to Him.

Our instinct drives us to want to take control, yet God wants us to wait on Him. He also tells us to give up our expectations and submit to His plan.

How do you react when problems arise?
Whether your current circumstances are good or not, take the time to wait on the Lord and trust that He is in control.
