AS SOLOMON SAID, "there is nothing new under the sun" (Ecclesiastes 1:9, NKJV)...
Man's behavior scarcely changes over time. When something gets too close or personal, we lose  the proper perspective and begin to change our views to accommodate this new familiarity.  Reuters reports, "People with gay friends or family members are far more likely to accept their  sexual orientation than those who don't, according to a U.S. survey released on Wednesday by  the Pew Research Center."

When people's beliefs meet flesh and blood they reorient what they believe to meet their new  reality. Their new enlightened perspective seems more real and enduring because their eyes have been opened to a new world view. Homosexuals are no   longer "them" but "one of us."  After all, their heads don't spin around and they don't have antennae or anything. They are just "good people" who live differently.

This further exemplifies the lengths at which the human mind will rationalize and deny truth in order to "be happy." We will lie to ourselves and feign blindness and deafness in order to be at peace in our hearts. There are no limits to which people will go in order to accomplish this delusional goal.

Parents will proclaim the truth on marriage, divorce and remarriage or cohabitation until their child finds themselves in a bad situation and overnight their minds will begin to reorient their beliefs so the child will be justified.

The article says, "An analysis of survey results suggests that familiarity is closely linked to tolerance," Pew said in a statement. Overall, those who say they have a family member or close friend who is gay are more than twice as likely to support gay marriage as those who don't -- 55 percent to 25 percent."

G. K. Chesterson said, "Tolerance is the virtue of a man without convictions ." Our convictions  become casualties as the goal of our minds becomes peace at all costs. Even God's Word must  be lost if it interferes.

In order to accommodate those who are changing their minds on this issue (because they know a  homosexual or because they are afraid of being called a bigot), so-called scholars are trying  to change interpretations of all the passages that condemn homosexuality. For example, Sodom  and Gomorrah were destroyed because of a lack of hospitality, which is ridiculous (Genesis 1;  Jude 7).

Gods Word is abundantly clear that homosexuality is sin (Leviticus 18:22). Tolerance or rationalization does not remove this fact from God's Word. Scripture predates opinion, culture and "our friends and family" (Psalm 119:89).

Romans 1:26-27 says, "For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women  exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural  use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful,  and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due."

"Exchanged" means they placed one thing in the place of another; God's plan for a man and a  woman joined sexually in marriage with sinful sexual unions. "Nature" is translated as the "forces or laws which govern the world and its inhabitants."  This is how God designed things to be in the very beginning (Genesis 2:18-25).

Homosexual and lesbian sexual relationships are "against nature." No manner of wishes, familiarities, friendships or rationalizations will change God's mind on this sin.

We cannot change our beliefs based on our relationships or situations and think God will comply. He is not subject to our whims. His law is pure and unchanging. He is the God of love and he is waiting for man to repent (Luke 13:3-5).
